With both abstract and figurative elements, the sculpture is quite contemporary and modern. It continues the sculptor’s interest in capturing the essence of motion in a static figure. The steel components form graphic lines that emphasize both the figure's form as well as her motion. Note: It is made from welded, corten (self-weathering) steel which will quickly form a beautiful orangy-brown patina and then stop rusting. You can already see the patina starting. The sculpture is approximately 400 lbs and has holes to allow it to be bolted to a concrete plinth with ½” bolts.
