Nathan Hatch
Nathan Hatch, a Door County native, is son of two artists. He was encouraged to pursue artistic endeavors of all kinds but gravitated towards sculpture and furniture design in his late teen years.
Hatch went on to study sculpture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned a Bachelors of Fine Art in 2005. Hatch later went on to earn a Masters of Fine Art in Sculpture from the University of Kentucky in 2011. At both universities he was heavy immersed in traditional practices such as casting, fabrication, woodworking and mixed-media assemblage.
He has taught a variety of art courses at the University of Kentucky, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Green Bay. Examples of his public work can be found in across Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Madison, West Bend, Wittenberg, Stevens Point, Fish Creek and Green Bay). Current Gallery representation includes Edgewood Orchards Galleries, Fish Creek, WI and Able Contemporary, Paoli WI (Madison).
Hatch maintains a studio in Baileys Harbor WI, where he lives with his wife, Jessica, and daughter, Elayna. Hatch is proud to have his work in public and private collections across the country.
