Susan Rifkin began her career in merchandising while designing small pieces of jewelry for herself and close friends. With a strong background in design from Drexel University, coupled with a long tenure in the fashion industry, Susan’s love of color and design has evolved into a distinctive line of handmade jewelry.
Today, she owns and operates a successful business in Philadelphia.
Whether a stylish piece to accent fashion trends, a first strand of pearls, or an elegant wedding ensemble, Susan Rifkin’s jewelry is classic, distinctive, and affordable.
Using a variety of materials such as multi-colored freshwater pearls, semi-precious, stones, glass beads, sterling silver, and gold she strives for timeless designs for everyday wear as well as special occasions.
Recently, Susan has taken several metalsmithing classes at The Jewelry Arts Institute in New York City, Moore College of Art and Design, and The Main Line Center for the Arts.
The wealth of knowledge gathered from these courses has created a new variety to Susan’s jewelry designs. Her line has evolved from dainty and colorful beaded jewelry to hand fabricated and intricate metal pieces.
Having participated in various wholesale industry shows throughout the Northeast region, Susan has taken her small business to a larger scale. In addition, her jewelry is currently sold at over 250 boutiques, galleries, and museum shops nationwide.
