A desire to create art and a love for nature have been with me for as long as I can remember.  From a very early age, I delighted in observing and drawing trees, flowers, lakes and animals. 

 Being deeply affected by the beauty I see, I try to retain and recreate that feeling in my paintings.  Simply put, that is my artistic process - emotion, observation, and composition.

It is truly a gift to live in a place that you love and find beauty in, and I am grateful to have called Western Colorado, with its amazing and diverse landscape, home for 12 years.  Now I'm thrilled to be in the amazing Upper Peninsula/Lake Superior region for a new chapter, filled with new inspiration.

For much of my life, I enjoyed a long and successful career in Ohio as mural artist and decorative painter. It was full of variety, very rewarding and left me with valuable experience in color harmony, aerial perspective, and composition.  With a growing desire to return to fine art, I became self taught in oils 12 years ago and began to find my voice in landscapes; that deeply personal vulnerable voice that takes courage to share, but that people respond to.   I try to maintain a delicate, elegant and contemporary style in my paintings.  A balance of detail and softness are important and deliberate.
