Anne Emerson

Anne (Haberland) Emerson studied in the humanities departments at Lawrence University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A founder of Edgewood Orchard Galleries in 1969, she has been recognized in her Door County, Wisconsin community for her work promoting creativity in education and lifelong learning. She helped start Friends of Gibraltar (School) in 1982, Door Community Auditorium in 1991, and Write On, Door County in 2013. She is a recipient of the Wisconsin Governor’s Award in Support of the Arts and lives in Fish Creek, Wisconsin year-round surrounded by family, dogs, beauty, and yes, creativity!
